Best Locations for Spring Senior Portraits in Portland Oregon

DSC_0951.jpg

Portland has no shortage of stunning outdoor scenery - especially now that spring is right around the corner! If 2021 is your last year of High School, you mustn’t pass up the opportunity to have your Senior Portraits taken during this season of beautiful blooming florals!

Here are my top favorite Portland locations for Spring Senior Portrait Photoshoots:

  1. International Rose Test Garden

  1. Located in Washington Park, Portland’s International Rose Test Garden attracts locals and tourists alike - and for a very good reason! With over 10,000 rose bushes and 650 varieties, the opportunity for different photo poses and backdrops are ENDLESS. With Benches, stairs, arches and fountains all surrounded by colorful buds, this place couldn’t be more perfect for your Senior Portrait Photoshoot.

  2. Tom McCall Waterfront Park

Okay, I know the International Rose Test Garden is my top pick…but the cherry blossoms along Portland’s Waterfront Park are quite literally to die for. If you’re looking for a whimsical, pink and dreamy photoshoot look - Tom McCall is calling.

  3. Peninsula Park

A lot like the Rose Garden, Peninsula Park is full of aisles and aisles of lovely blooming white, red and pink spring flowers! I will note, though, that I have found Peninsula Park to be much more low-key when it comes to crowd sizes. If you’re feeling a bit nervous about taking your senior photos around tons of people, you may find that Peninsula Park in Portland may be a better (and quieter) choice for you!

  4. Hoyt Arboretum

Also located in Washington Park, Hoyt Arboretum is one of my favorite places for many reasons! It’s diverse scenery and abundant selection of vibrant colors is jam-packed along every single walking trail. Whether it is Spring, Summer or Fall! But if it is the magnolias, cherry blossoms and Oregon plum flowers you’re looking for, taking the Beech Trail through the park will lead you right where you want to be!

I hope my list helped you narrow down on your search for picking a Senior Portrait Photoshoot location.

Remember, this time in your life is so incredibly exciting and special - so make sure you pick a spot that is perfect for you and makes you feel happy + confident!
